Inaugural vintage racing event announced at Heartland Park Topeka

Topeka, Kan. (June 26, 2009) – Heartland Vintage Racing (HVR) will host the first ever, "Reilly Vintage Grand Prix" and will be held at Heartland Park Topeka in Topeka, Kansas August 19-22, 2010. 

This is a major spectator event and features the Friends of Triumph and the Kastner Cup Race and will be promoted as a vintage-racing extravaganza.

Sponsored by O’Reilly Auto Parts Co., this four-day event will be a draw for vintage car owners and enthusiasts across the Midwest with races, vintage aircraft flyovers, a vendor row featuring products from more than 50 companies, vintage race cars on display, plus much more.

Talks are currently underway with Discovery Channel to provide TV coverage of this event.

Heartland Park of Topeka is one of the premier multi-purpose motor sports race tracks in the country and is located four miles south of downtown Topeka, Kansas. Since opening in 1989, Heartland Park Raceway has provided the people of Kansas as well as the entire nation, some of the best motor sports racing in the country.
