WEST RIDGE MALL WELCOMES NEW STORES
Zumiez adds first store in Topeka

Topeka, Kan. (June 22, 2009) – West Ridge Mall is pleased to announce the addition of the first Zumiez location in Topeka, which opens June 22, 2009. Jay Hatfield Mobility also recently opened near Burlington Coat Factory.

The 2,806-square-foot Zumiez store is located on the upper level next to the Food Court and Foot Locker. This edgy retailer features lifestyle brands for young men and women that enjoy outdoor activities like skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, BMX and motocross. The trendy store carries apparel, footwear and related accessories including skateboarding and snowboarding gear.

"Zumiez is just in time for summer and back-to-school shopping," said Cris Burnett, area director of marketing for the mall. "West Ridge Mall is pleased to be able to offer it to this community."

Jay Hatfield Mobility also recently opened a 1,102-square-foot store that features conversions, power chairs, power scooters, chair lifts and transfer seat bases. Customers can also rent scooters for use in the mall for a $5 hourly-rental fee.

Other recent changes at West Ridge Mall include:

  • Maurice’s is expanding to a 5,316-square-foot store on the upper level between Pac Sun and Macy’s. The new location will open in August.
  • Logic has relocated to a 1,100-square-foot space next to Deb, just inside the upper level Macy’s entrance.
  • Isaac’s Collectibles has relocated to a 1,181-square-foot space in the upper level of Burlington Coat Factory Court next to The Finish Line.
  • Asian Gifts has relocated to the lower level Center Court area in a 2,032-square-foot store next to Victoria‚s Secret and Gap Outlet.
  • Animaland Topeka is now open on the lower level next to Macy’s with a 1,489-square-foot store.
  • Fusion has opened a 1,020-square-foot space on the upper level located next to T-Mobile and Weight Loss Surgical Center.

West Ridge Mall is located at the intersection of Wanamaker Road and 21st Street in Topeka, and is managed by Simon Property Group. West Ridge Mall is anchored by Dillard’s, JCPenney, Macy’s, Sears and Burlington Coat Factory, with more than 115 specialty stores and eateries.
